Senior React and Next.js help for teams already on React

This service is for teams that already run React or Next.js in production and need another senior developer: to ship a backlog of features, fix a slow site, connect a CMS or payments, or keep a product moving while you hire.

Typical situations:

  • Your Next.js site has become slow or hard to change, and nobody has time to find out why
  • You need features shipped without onboarding a full-time hire
  • Your agency needs a white-label developer for a client's React project
  • Your marketing team wants to edit pages without a developer, through a headless CMS

How I work inside your codebase

I adapt to your setup instead of rewriting it. I follow your folder structure, linting and naming, open pull requests through your review process and keep changes small enough to review in one sitting.

On Next.js, I choose server or client components and caching per route, keep secrets on the server and watch bundle size as features grow. For data, I use TanStack Query and Zustand when the project already uses them, or follow whatever your team has chosen. When the back end needs work, I build Node.js and Express endpoints with PostgreSQL and Redis.

I use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor every day to move faster, and I review and test every change myself before it reaches your repository.

React and Next.js work in production

  • Smiles Casino: from 2024 to 2026 I worked full-stack on the player site of a US social sweepstakes casino, built with Next.js 16, React 19, a Node.js and Express back end, PostgreSQL, Redis and Storyblok CMS, including identity verification (KYC) and payment integrations.
  • NVC Trading: an online store for building materials and DIY supplies, with a React front end on WordPress.

If your project involves checkouts or subscriptions, see e-commerce and payments. For ongoing care after delivery, see maintenance and support. More projects are in the portfolio.

What affects the price

Work starts from €60/hour (€480/day); you get a fixed quote or a day-rate estimate after a short scoping call. The estimate depends on the size of your codebase, how much of the work is front end versus back end, how many integrations are involved and how long you need me.

Send me a short description of your project and what is blocked, and I will reply within one working day with questions or a first estimate. Get a quote for your React or Next.js project.

How we work

  1. 1

    Intro call

You walk me through your codebase, your team and what is blocked. You get a written proposal with a day-rate estimate or a fixed price.

  2. 2

    Onboarding

I get access, run the project locally and read the code, then open a first small pull request in the first week.

  3. 3

    Delivery

I work from tickets in your tracker, through your code review, and send a short written update every week.

  4. 4

    Wrap-up

You get handover notes for everything I touched, or I move to a lighter maintenance arrangement.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a freelance React or Next.js developer cost?

My rate is €60/hour or €480/day. Most React and Next.js work runs on the day rate with an estimate up front, and clearly scoped features can get a fixed price. Either way, you know the expected cost before work starts.

Can you join our team for a few months?

Yes. I work inside your tools, your tickets and your review process, and I join standups or planning when it helps. I am available on working days from 8:00 to 22:00 CET, which covers the European working day and most of the US East Coast day.

Do you work with agencies as a white-label React developer?

Yes. I can work under your agency name, sign an NDA and talk to your client only when you want me to. The code belongs to you or your client, as agreed.

Can you fix a slow Next.js site?

Yes. I measure first with Core Web Vitals and the build output, then fix the causes, which are usually too much client-side JavaScript, uncached data fetching or unoptimized images. You get a short report showing what changed.

Why hire a Nuxt and Laravel developer for React work?

My core stack is Nuxt, Vue and Laravel, but I also ship production React. On Smiles Casino I worked full-stack on a Next.js 16 and React 19 player site with a Node.js back end. If you are starting from scratch without a React team, I will also tell you honestly when Nuxt would be the simpler choice.

Can you build the back end for our Next.js app too?

Yes. I build Node.js and Express APIs with PostgreSQL and Redis, or a Laravel API if that suits your team better. I can also connect Next.js to the back end you already have.
