Who hires me for Nuxt

Nuxt is the framework I use most, and most of my current client work runs on Nuxt 4. Clients usually come to me when a website or web app has to be fast, rank in search and stay easy to change after launch:

  • Companies whose site needs to load fast on mobile and rank in more than one language
  • SaaS teams that want server-rendered public pages and a Vue app behind the login, in one codebase
  • Marketing teams that need to publish and edit pages without waiting on a developer
  • Teams already on Nuxt that need a senior developer to unblock a release

If you only need an app behind a login where search does not matter, Vue.js development is the better fit.

How I build Nuxt apps

I choose rendering per route: marketing pages are prerendered or server-rendered so crawlers see full HTML, while dashboards render in the browser. Everything is written in TypeScript, with data fetched through Nuxt server routes so API keys stay on the server.

SEO is part of the build, not a later fix. Every page gets a title, description, canonical URL, structured data and a social image, and multilingual sites get proper hreflang links. I keep the bundle small, load images responsively and check Core Web Vitals before launch. For a deeper audit of an existing site, see technical SEO and performance.

I use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor daily to move faster, and I review and test every change myself.

Nuxt projects in production

  • WithMaslow.com: a personality assessment platform I took over in 2024, now on Nuxt 4 and Nuxt UI with Sanity CMS, teams and social login.
  • CautElectrician.ro: a directory of electricians across Romania with county and city search, built with Nuxt 4, Supabase and Nuxt Content, plus structured data and generated social images.
  • liviu.dev: this site, on Nuxt 4 with Nuxt Content, i18n and Nuxt SEO.

Details are in the portfolio.

What affects the price

Work starts from €60/hour (€480/day); you get a fixed quote after a short scoping call. The estimate depends on the number of page templates, how many languages you need, whether content comes from a CMS, sign-in and roles, and how much back-end work sits behind the front end. Moving an older Nuxt 2 app first is a legacy migration project of its own.

Send me a link to your current site or a short description of what you want to build, and I will reply within one working day with questions or a first estimate. Get a quote for your Nuxt project.

How we work

  1. 1

    Discovery call

We go through your goals, your current site or app and the pages that need to rank. You get a written proposal with a fixed price or a day-rate estimate.

  2. 2

    Rendering and architecture plan

Before the first component, I decide per route what is prerendered, server-rendered or client-only, and how data, sign-in and content flow through the app.

  3. 3

    Build with weekly demos

You get a preview URL in the first week and a demo every week after, so feedback lands while changes are still cheap.

  4. 4

    Launch and handover

I handle the deploy, redirects and Search Console checks, then hand over the code and docs or stay on for maintenance.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to hire a Nuxt developer?

My rate is €60/hour or €480/day. Most Nuxt projects get a fixed price after a short scoping call, so you know the total before work starts. Ongoing work on an existing app can run on the day rate, with a demo every week.

Is Nuxt good for SEO?

Yes, when it is set up properly. Nuxt renders pages on the server, so search engines and AI crawlers receive full HTML instead of an empty shell. Add a sitemap, structured data, social images and correct meta tags per language and you have a strong technical base for ranking.

Should I choose Nuxt or Next.js for a new project?

Both are solid choices. Nuxt fits well if your team knows Vue or you want a Vue front end on a Laravel back end, and it is the framework I use every day. If you already have React developers or a Next.js codebase, staying on Next.js is usually cheaper, and I work on that too.

Can you take over our existing Nuxt app from another developer?

Yes. I start with a short audit of the codebase, dependencies and build, then fix what blocks your next release before adding features. I took over WithMaslow from previous developers in 2024, and it now runs on Nuxt 4 with a rebuilt Laravel API.

We are still on Nuxt 2. Can you upgrade us to Nuxt 4?

Yes. Nuxt 2 no longer receives updates, so upgrading also closes security gaps. Because the effort depends on your modules and code size, migrations are scoped as a separate project starting from €3,000.

Can you work with our designer and back-end team?

Yes. I can build from your designs, connect to the API your back-end team owns and follow your review process. Agencies can also hire me as a white-label Nuxt developer under an NDA.
